FERA CASTRO: Com a participação de parentes e amigos, FERA CASTRO lança seu segundo CD em produção independente. Suas canções revelam novamente um Rock em estilo empolgante e bem humorado. Em alto e bom tom o coro familiar de "Welcome To The New World" convoca toda a humanidade a visitar o Brasil, seu país amado que considera ser realmente o Novo Mundo. O ritmo contagiante e uma letra intrigante sugerem que a felicidade pode ser alcançada através da simplicidade, da solidariedade e das vantagens da miscigenação de raças e culturas convivendo pacificamente e sem discriminação, só encontradas nessa parte do planeta. O erotismo e a sensualidade da mulher brasileira estão presentes nas canções românticas "Something Happened To Me Yesterday", "Angelland" e "How Can You Be So Cruel?". Nelas, o equilibrio entre a vibração melancólica da harmônica, o choro da guitarra e a timidez do violão atraem a atenção de maneira suave e confortável. Uma homenagem a "Ayrton Senna" salienta as virtudes desse brasileiro, que através do esporte, tornou-se um exemplo de simplicidade e solidariedade. Em "Imagine Then" e "My Blue Jeans", FERA se mostra ironicamente inconformado com a postura das pessoas pessimistas diante de um Universo tão complexo e fascinante. "Marginal Recalls" é uma verdadeira explosão de sons, que traz à memória os longos solos de improviso da época que costumava reunir em casa seus amigos e curtir o alto astral. A língua portuguesa se faz presente na canção "Diga Não Às Drogas" reforçando a idéia de que a felicidade não está nas coisas materiais nem na tecnologia de ponta e sim nos momentos inesquecíveis que passamos junto a quem amamos. Encerrando o CD, FERA CASTRO presta homenagem à sua avó, Cacilda Pain, com a canção "Por Quê Partiste?", composta e executada por ela ao piano nos anos sessenta e surpreendentemente recuperada de uma gravação caseira. Os arranjos contam com a participação de seu antigo parceiro Theo Santos e de seu irmão Mário de Castro, os quais sem dúvida alguma merecem o crédito de boa parte do sucesso desse novo trabalho.

FERA CASTRO: Featuring relatives and friends, FERA CASTRO releases his second homemade CD album. Once again, his songs reveal an exciting and cheerful Rock&Roll style. A magnificent chorus of family and friends in “Welcome To The New World” calls all humanity to visit Brazil, his beloved country, which he assumes really being the New World. The contagious rhythm and the polemic words suggests joy can be reached through simplicity, solidarity and advantages from such a syncretism of all cultures and conviviality of all races, peacefully and undiscriminatively found only in this site of the planet. The erotism and the sensuality of the Brazilian women are present in the romantic songs “Something Happened To Me Yesterday”, “Angelland” and “How Can You Be So Cruel?”. Here, the balance between the melancholic harmonica vibration, the electric guitar weeping and the acoustic guitar shyness attracts the attention sweetly and comfortably. To honour “Ayrton Senna”, it is pointed out the virtues of this Brazilian man, who became an example, through the sport, of simplicity and solidarity. In “Imagine Then” and “My Blue Jeans”, FERA shows ironicaly his resentment regarding the intolerance of pessimists before a Universe too complex and fascinating. “Marginal Recalls” is actually a big sound explosion, which brings to memory those old days when he used to meet friends at home to play long improvisation solos and to get a kick out of living. The Portuguese language is present in the song “Diga Não Às Drogas” (Say No To Drugs) to reinforce the idea that the happiness is not reached toward the material things nor the technology ahead but the unforgetable moments we spend near the ones we love. Closing the CD, FERA CASTRO honours his grandmother, Cacilda Pain, introducing her song “Por Quê Partiste?”, composed and performed by her on the piano in the sixties and surprisingly recovered from a home recording. The arrangements were performed with the participation of his old partner Theo Santos and his dear brother Mário de Castro, who deserve with no doubt a large merit portion of this successful work.
